In this last, more club-focused event of the Riddle series we will be at one of Leipzig’s underground gems, the club Neue Welle. Framed with opening and closing by the intrepid musical explorers of the Riddle DJ-Team: SOLARIS, Stanley Schmidt, Shane Lizard und DJ YumYum, we will experience a live set of experimental underground producer and rapper llyodfears with his haunting musical poetry. Then, we’re delighted to welcome the versatile DJ, producer and label boss of Fever AM: Mor Elian. Elian’s music could be characterized as forward thinking and percussion-based, often favoring broken rhythms to straight four to the floor beats. Whilst more recently Elian released a 50 min piece under the moniker ‘Alloy Sea’, heading in an experimental-ambient direction featuring her own vocals for the first time, we’re sure she will present her take on contemporary club sounds at Neue Welle. Then, Esther will take over with her unique interpretation of bassmusic. A self-taught producer obsessed with furious, complex rhythms, Esther plays with the sub-genres between club music and film music, bending the lines of the stylistic exercise. She expresses the need to mix new styles, sweeping away boundaries with organic, hard-hitting productions.
