Justine Perry is a French Techno DJ and Producer based in Berlin. She is a resident at Kalt in Strasbourg (FR) and part of the Résilience crew in Paris.
As part of the LGBTQIA+ community with many appearances on queer parties as KiKi, Mess Paris, Spectrum, Pax Romana and more, Justine embraces the need of building diversity and a safer environment in music.
Proposing a timeless sound of fast-paced, deep and trippy grooves, she established herself in Paris and beyond, playing in clubs like Berghain, Khidi, Tresor, Rex Club, Radion, IFZ, or the old Griessmühle in Berlin. She also graced many of the most prominent radio shows Europe has to offer like Red Light Radio Amsterdam, HÖR Berlin, or Rinse FM and has released music on labels like DNC Limited, Postdynamic or Unknown Movements.
Paula Koski specializes in the space between mental and fast-paced, groovy techno. A part of the LGBTQ+ community, the Finnish-born, Berlin-based DJ is a resident and one of the key members for online platform, festival and label, Monument. It keeps her selection a step ahead as she explores her take on modern techno and ambient.
After the first transitions were played in 2008 and the first steps in music production were taken in 2009, Wice developed an unprecedented love for sound, polyrhythm and frequency. More and more it turned out – retrospectively – that this sonic relationship was the perfect means for Wice to subjectively channel his innermost, to introspectively surrender to sound and texture, and to work towards the eventual moment at which he could say: ‘Cool, now I finally have the technical means to externalize all that doesn’t want to be said, merely through frequencies.’ Driven by the insight that there always will be more steps to climb, Wice had to acknowledge that this kind of music will accompany him for a lifetime. In 2017 he finally decided to start his own label ‘Steinlach’ with his good friend Ingo and Wice’s first solo record ‘Hedonism’ was released. Although achieving international success with this release had not been the intended goal, things fortunately turned out differently: Throughout 2017, the track ‘Just Kiddin” was played almost every weekend in well- known clubs and at reputable festivals around the world. With it, Wice even won a golden ‘Raving Spoon’ in the category ‘The Perfect Tracks’. Further releases on Shlomi Aber’s ‘Be As One’, Darko Essers/Tripeo’s ‘Wolfskuil’, Deepa’ and Biri’s ‘Black Crow’ as well as on the in-house label Steinlach followed. The affiliated digital-only sublabel ‘Weisse Elster’ was launched in 2021 with the EP ‘Ape Layers’. WEL002 (‘Seragard’) and WEL003 (‘Ultrasonic’) followed throughout 2022. CAT No.004 is already scheduled for this years winter.
WEL_L, the event series closely interwoven with the Leipzig based ‘Steinlach’ sub-label ‘Weisse Elster’, stands for a seemingly never-ending well full of ‘sonic-adventures’. The nights focus on sophisticated techno music characterized by an inescapable groove, meant to offer people of all backgrounds, sexual orientations, and denominations the opportunity to dive into transcendental spheres together and to share a liminal experience. Headlining, name-dropping and hard, inharmonious cuts between the individual sets are deliberately avoided, giving both the artists and the crowd the necessary space for personal development. WEL_L wants you to savor the moment in its richness and to simply drift in the here and now. True to the credo: ‘If people dance non stop for 8 hours, these people are enjoying the moment in its entirety for 8 hours – without having any time to mess up’. Let’s overcome time and space together. Let’s dance for an egalitarian future filled with frequencies that are fueled with love and mindfulness. ——— Doors: 23.00 ——— Your ticket will be sent to you via email right after your purchase.
