Many DJs claim to be a champion of free-spirited eclecticism, but few truly break boundaries or swerve convention. Step forward Elena Colombi, a DJ and radio host whose inspired sets are not only open-minded and mind-altering, but also seek to toy with the emotions of listeners and dancers via switches in intensity, tone, lightness and darkness. It’s no lie to say that her distinctive approach is truly unique, in part thanks to a widescreen grasp of different musical cultures, sounds and rhythms born out of travelling the world with her family from a young age.
This nomadic approach is something that Colombi has embraced in adulthood, too. While born and raised in Italy, she spent ten years living in London and making her mark on the city’s electronic music underground before briefly relocating to Belgium. Elena is now based in Amsterdam, where she can be found contributing to the vital local scene whilst focusing on her new label, Osàre! Editions.

goldie is at home on the dancefloors and behind the bars of Dresden. For two years now, she has been mixing tracks as well as drinks and dancing behind the decks. Her housy sound fills the raw club air with energy and embraces the crowd with a mix of groovy and softer, more subtle tracks. The mystical sets have earned her a residency at objekt klein a. From there, her groove spreads like wildfire, but never strays from goldies very own path.
Zu Hause ist Goldie auf den Dancefloors und hinter den Tresen Dresdens. Seit zwei Jahren mixt sie neben Drinks nun auch Tracks und tanzt hinter den Decks. Ihr housiger Sound erfüllt die raue Clubluft mit Energie und umarmt die Menge mit einer Mischung aus groovigen und sanfteren, subtileren Tracks. Die mystischen Sets haben ihr bereits eine Residency im objekt klein a eingehandelt. Von dort aus verbreitet sich ihr Groove wie ein Lauffeuer, verlässt dabei aber nie ihren ganz eigenen Pfad.

What makes these productions so special is his attention to detail. Interviews blends a depth and analogue warmth that stays true to the roots between electro and techno while at the same time never forgetting that the key to good music is emotion. Whether it’s through melody or brute power you’ll be moved by his work and its reflection in his DJ sets.
